बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके, सुमिरौं पवन-कुमार।बल बुधि विद्या देहु मोहिं, हरहु कलेस बिकार॥

Knowing myself lacking in wisdom, I remember the Son of the Wind. Grant me strength, intellect and knowledge, O Hanuman, and remove my flaws and sorrows.

Buddhiheen tanu janike, sumirau Pavan-kumar.Bal buddhi vidya dehu mohin, harahu kales bikar.

Tulsidas admits his limited intellect and turns to Hanuman, son of the wind-god Pavan, asking for strength, wisdom and knowledge, and for freedom from faults and suffering.
